Students on a 4 X 4 block are required to have 120 hours of instruction in order to meet state requirements. Our current calendar provides 130.5 hours of instruction in the first semester. With the loss of the 3 days, we still have a total of 126 hours, which exceed the 120-hour minimum. The Rotator 7 and the AB block schools are not impacted because over the course of a year their instructional hours far exceed the 135 minimum state requirement.
