In the event of house remaining vacant, can the bills be revised on Minimum charge basis?
Answer In the event of house remaining vacant and water is not used, bill may be revised on minimum charge basis i.e., only the service charges will be billed. However, onus of provingthe vacancy of the premises during the period of billing will be on the consumer and he/she has to produce relevant documents like electricity bill etc. verifying the vacancy of the property during the period for which request for minimum charge is being made.
