If you have an early copy of Top Secret Recipes, the recipe on page 96 would indeed produce a very strange stack of pancakes (I consider these copies the “rare collector’s editions”). Somehow 1 1/4 cup of buttermilk was excluded from the finished book. Simply add the buttermilk to the other ingredients and you will have a great clone of those famous pancakes.
