Indian Passport expired and lost?

You have to inform the Passport office as well that you have lost it in the application that you fill up. The fees and details can only be given by the passport office. It is doubtful that this will be done in the Tatkaal scheme as the only way for them to make sure that your passport is not being used illegally (by changing the photo etc.) is to send a notice to all borders etc. So do not expect it to be processed via Tatkaal, but if they allow it, then fine. Good luck….

what is the need to get so much worried about this small thing. First , file a FIR with the nearest police station that u have lost/misplaced your passport. They will give u a Non Cognisable FIR COPY. Then go to passport office, pick up a passport application form for new passport,,,fill it and give neccessary and correct info under the columns Have u applied for passport before………. and submit ehe application, along with FIR from poilice station, deposit the fees under Tatkal scheme and thats all. If , by any chance, u had kep a photocopy of lost passport, pls attatch that to the new application form. It will make the process less troublesome all the best.
