Though some people will deny it, many people can tell the difference in taste between Pepsi and Coke. They are made by two different competing companies, with different (supposedly secret) formulas. There has been a huge history of taste testing done between the two colas, and some people will swear you can’t tell the difference (they just have indiscriminating palates), while others most definitely can, and often have a strong preference for one over the other. I personally can tell the difference, and I much prefer Coke (actually Diet Coke, particularly Diet Coke with Lime), though I will settle for Diet Pepsi on a plane if that’s all they’ve got with caffeine in it among their carbonated drinks. Sprite is made by the Coca-Cola company, and 7-Up is made by Pepsi.
