Is a bachelor’s degree required to enter the Doctor of Chiropractic program?

No. However, students can work toward the Bachelor’s of Science in Human Biology concurrently with the Doctor of Chiropractic degree. The degrees are earned concurrently because during the first 1 ½ years in the Doctor of Chiropractic program, 29 credits will count not only towards the Doctor of Chiropractic degree, but also towards the Bachelor of Science degree. Some states require a bachelor’s degree along with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree to obtain a license to practice. The Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards(FCLB) web site contains state-by-state requirements for licensing. • How much will it cost to attend? The average tuition total to complete the Doctor of Chiropractic program is about $72,652 for the 12 trimester program. Students must also account for the cost of books, rent/mortgage, meals and other living expenses. Please keep in mind that many students qualify for tuition assistance through federal programs.
