No, falafel is a Middle-Eastern and Mediterranean savory dish consisting of chick-pea flour lightly spiced, flattened into patties or similar shapes and fried in olive oil, although baking is a popular alternative. They can be eaten plain as a snack, or sandwiched in pita bread with lettuce, tahini, lemon juice, garlic and tomatoes as a full dish. They aren’t considered a dessert.
