Is a fenced yard required to adopt a greyhound?
It is not usually a requirement though there are exceptions involving special needs dogs. What is required is that the dog has the opportunity to go out 4 times a day whether it is on a leash or in a fenced yard. Are greyhounds hyper dogs? Nope. Mostly, the opposite. The sprinter in them hangs around in the house. When you come home, you will get a big greeting but shortly thereafter the greyhound will want to “rest.” They really are couch potatoes. Greyhounds love to play with their stuffed toys etc. and they are wonderful companions.
