Mulberries are weird. They can be male, female and will sometimes change from one to the other. The females will set fruit without a male nearby, but fruit production is higher with a male for pollination. <a href="http://www.crfg.org/pubs/ff/mulberry.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.crfg.org/pubs/ff/mulberry.htm…</a> They are wind pollinated so the pollinator has to be upwind for best production, but doesn't have to be right next to the female. Your tree will probably continue fruiting without a male.  more
