Is a patient sign-in sheet HIPAA compliant?

0

A.- It is OK to have a patient sign-in sheet, as long as it does not contain patient health information. It is recommended to mark out the patient’s name immediately after arrival. If this is not your procedure and patient names remain visible, you must state that this is your office policy and no patient health information is being revealed.
