Is a round of innovation overdue in the Business Intelligence space?
Its been quite some time that Business Intelligence is a hip world in the world of enterprise applications but hardly anything hip has been happening in this space, all the things that are being sold off the self or custom developed are nothing but a set of queries again nothing new , but things that already existed when these pieces were called MIS( Management Information Systems). Where is the intelligence, where are the algorithms that will make businesses intelligent suggesting them to look at areas that they should but are ignoring now.
