Is a single layer cage pouch safe for sugar gliders?

It is as safe as any fleece toy or pouch if the pouch is made correctly. The “exposed” seam is hidden with fringe along the outside of the pouch leaving the inside pouch area the same as a double layer pouch (reversed seams inside). Along with the tight machine stitching and contrast thread feature of this pouch, it can actually be safer than many double layered pouches. Digging, nesting, or chewing sugar gliders often attempt to get between the layers of multiple layer pouches leaving them in danger of being in contact with loose threads and/or loose seams. A single layer pouch actually prevents this behavior with most sugar gliders. I have been using these pouches exclusively with my sugar gliders for years with complete satisfaction. The design we use is safe and tested, not only by us, but by 100’s of sugar gliders and their owners. For the safety of your animals, check cage toys and sleeping accessories daily for wear.
