Is a Ukrainian womans character different from that of an American woman?
It is hard for me to judge as I am a woman, the best judge would be a man who has lived enough time in USA, and then enough time in the Ukraine :-). But I have lived in the USA for some time, and have communicated with women there, so I can make some observations. One of my brightest impressions was going out to a bar/disco. I was surprised with a striking difference of American women behavior. They have been glancing around seeking for a man suitable, then come up and introduce themselves to the man they like. This behavior is rather unusual for Ukrainian scene. Women in Kharkov are more traditional as to courting situation, they would wait while a man pays attention to her first, and prefer to play second role on the dating scene. In general, Ukrainian women are milder, not so sharp in behavior, and I would say, more feminine and gentle.
