Is a valve, a pneumatic actuator and a positioner fitted together an assembly? Or are they merely individual pieces of pressure equipment?
A valve and an actuator fitted together are an assembly when they share a common fluid. When they do not share a common fluid they are not an assembly. A pneumatic actuator, piping, solenoid valve, positioner, filter regulator and air accumulator fitted together and sharing a common fluid are an assembly when supplied as one unit.
