Is AC Transit doing away with paper tickets and passes?
AC Transit will eliminate its transbay magnetic-strip 10-ride and 31-day tickets in summer, 2009. AC Transit will stop selling these transbay tickets as of June 19, and will no longer accept them after August 31. This change will not affect local AC Transit passengers or UC Berkeley Class Pass holders. AC Transit will always accept payment in cash from its passengers.
