Is ACTIV8 more effective in an older engine than in a modern engine?
No. ACTIV8 will reduce metal to metal wear significantly and equally in both modern and older engines. ACTIV8 Lubricants recommend the Friction Reducer in ALL types modern, classic and vintage vehicles. However, the older engine, an engine with a lower performance level or an engine that has higher milage may provide a greater gain in performance and economy as these engines tend to have a higher proportion of frictional losses present compared to their current performance output. Therefore, ACTIV8 Friction Reducer may have overcome more frictional losses thus giving a greater gain. Typical gains in engine performance and/or economy are 4-7%.
