Is air ambulance more expensive than a charter company?
Many people don’t realize this, but air ambulance can, in reality, be cheaper than charter. The reason is because charter flights are taxable, and the tax on the flight is often more than the cost of our nurses for a medical flight. Keep in mind, also, that charter will not offer any of the services of U.S. Air Ambulance: medical personnel, medical equipment, facility coordination, ground transportation and constant communication during the course of the trip.
