Is American food popular in Ireland?

0

I think if you asked pretty much any Irish person, their idea of American food is burgers and hot dogs. As well as KFC, Mc D’s and Burger King. I don’t think most people know much about food from the south. When I think of food from the south, I think of fried food, big portions and food that is kind of heavy. And I wouldn’t buy that type of food. I honestly don’t know if there would be a market for it. You would need to do some serious market research before you even thought about it. Dublin would be the obvious place to open. As it is the capital city it has the largest possible customer base but also bigger numbers of competitors. One thing strikes me. Ireland is in the middle of a recession now. Money is tight for everyone and restaurants are closing because they can’t get the business. It’s unfashionable to flaunt your money so even people who can afford it aren’t going out as much.
