Is American U in a rough neighborhood in Washington D.C.?
American University is in a beautiful section of Northwest D.C. Northwest is the quadrant that is generally considered to be the safest in the city. And Washington has changed a lot since I lived there. Back then, it had the dubious distinction of being the Murder Capital of the country with more than 400 murders per year (if memory serves correctly). That time has changed: violent crime and crack-related crime has gone down. Now Washington is a lovely city. And I recommend American University’s School ofCommunication to you.
