Is anyone donating a kidney?

0

In some transplant centers, they have started a program where a patient receives a kidney through a domino effect. Let me explain: When someone has a relative or friend that would like to donate their kidney, but the kidney doesn’t match the blood type and there is another couple that would like to do the same. They they switch donors and they both receive a kidney transplant. Sometimes, one person giving a kidney donation, enables many others to have a transplant. It is called a domino effect. Because this person gives their kidney and it is a match to someone on the list who has a donor but it doesn’t match…then that person receive a kidney in exchange for the donor, they do have, giving their kidney to the next person in line that does match and also has a live donor. It then continues on. They have already done surgeries where 3 or 4 donors gave 3 or 4 recipients, kidneys transplantations surgeries all at the same time.
