Asda tends to be cheaper than Tesco and Somerfield, particularly with own-brand products. Note that Somerfield is the only major supermarket in the UK that has ‘regional pricing’, i.e. the same product will be sold at a different price depending on where in the country the store is – an apple in London may be 5p more than an apple in Inverness. So it pays just to do your own price check, but I’m sure Asda will come out cheaper.
