Is Bad Eyesight a Problem for being a pilot?

Well, there’s no exact answer. In Australia, which has similar rules to the US, pilots can wear glasses for most conditions as long as your vision can be corrected to near normal. In the military, it is slightly different. They are more fussy and usually will not recruit you if you need vision correction, but if your eyesight goes bad after you’ve been recruited, they’ll happily provide their pilots with glasses/vision correction. Don’t want all that expensive training to go to waste! So there are limits, but it’s not necessarily going to prevent you becoming a pilot. Check with your local aviation authorities for more info.
