Is beating grounds for divorce according to the Bible?

AJ, where in the Bible does it recognize “endangerment” as a legitimate or acceptable reason for divorce? It doesn’t. The only allowable reason for divorce is adultery. Not even abuse justifies divorce, according to the Bible. In Jesus’ own words: “But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.” (Matt. 5:32, NIV) Pretty screwed up and unfair, isn’t it? But then, so was stoning that poor fellow for gathering sticks for his family’s fire on the Sabbath. If any wife, or husband, is being abused they need to leave the relationship and if their spouse refuses counselling or doesn’t change, then the abused spouse has every right to seek a divorce… and a responsibility to do so if children are involved. Sorry, Jesus, but you’re wrong on this one. So, how many folks out there are adulterers, according to Jesus, even though we’re faithful to our spouses? Guess
