Is being called Grandma at work age discrimination?
Whether being called “grandma” on the job is job discrimination depends on how often the term is used, by whom, and whether supervisors with authority to stop the practice are present when the term is used. Whether the practice is serious enough to interfere with your doing your job is of particular significance. If it is bothersome to you, ask that it be stopped, and if it is not, complain to a supervisor, and if no immediate action is taken, make your complaint in writing.
