“Showbiz” yes but acting and theatre can be a really good discipline for children and give them social skills and confidence even if they don’t make a career of it. Having said that child actors who do go on to “make it” often have problems later on in life but that is due to the parents not monitoring what they are doing properly and making sure that they continue with their education so that they have an alternative to fall back on.You could say similar for footballers and the like.
