Is brown spotting normal during breastfeeding?
Pretty much anything is normal when BF. If you are BF exclusively it could be a year or more before you get a period,if you supplement or work you will probably get it soon. Spotting is pretty normal as your cycle tries to become regular or existent again. It is also normal to have sporatic periods and short/long ones while BF. If you are concerned contact your dr. but I have had it all while BF my 2 kids. I worked when my daughter was little and it returned when she was 2 months and I did not work with my son and BF on demand and he was 13 months when it finally came back and now at 17 months it is still not regular.
