Is CPS licensed? Yes! Although I have been doing petsitting for years, CPS has been made official as of July 2006 when it was licensed by Washington State and the City of Enumclaw. Is CPS Insured and Bonded, and what does being Insured and Bonded mean? At this time, CPS is not insured or bonded. Having insurance for petsitting is a great idea, as it provides more peace of mind for the client, and it also provides protection for the petsitter. What being insured as a petsitter means is that if an unfortunate accident should occur such as bodily injury, personal injury or property damage while the petsitter is providing services for the client, the petsitter is fully covered by insurance, which means that both petsitter and client will be taken care of to the extent that the insurance company agrees upon with merit.
