Is cricket a minority sport in england?

Any other sport than football is a minority sport in England. But when you consider, there are more cricketers in Yorkshire alone, than in Australia, its no excuse. The big problem with cricket in England is that it hasn’t been well supported in schools. In all fairness I don’t know what its like now. I left school in 1989, and was one of probably two or three, in my year, who could actually bowl over arm, and that was only because I taught myself. The thing is, even though football is better in schools, and has far more of a following in England, its not as if we are world beaters at that. Let’s face it, we are a nation of slobs, who are world beaters at pub games, like darts and snooker, or sports that involve sitting down like motor racing, rowing and cycling. ;0) (I thought I’d get that in before the Aussies did.
