+6……GREAT QUESTION!!! There are studies which genetically link many forms of dementia, just like heart disease, diabetes and so on. There are also many variables as well. Diet is currently being studied to see what effect they, too, have on a person with a propensity towards it. The studies are a long way from drawing to a conclusion only because it takes time to gather the annual data. More importantly, there are some people who develop diseases and disorders spontaneously, with no family hx of it anywhere. This fuels scientists to study the variables even further, since this is also and indication that, if it can be turned on, it can also be prevented.
