I’m not a Gentoo user so I can’t provide a package for Gentoo. However, Mike Kelly has released a Gentoo package for DenyHosts.

Darryl Shpak provided additional information for installing DenyHosts on Gentoo: # Install DenyHosts emerge –ask denyhosts # Configure $EDITOR /etc/denyhosts.conf # Add to default runlevel (so that the daemon runs automatically at boot) rc-update add denyhosts default # Lauch daemon /etc/init.
