Is dissolving Carbon Dioxide (CO2) an exothermic or an endothermic reaction?

i think it is endothermic because when you’re dissolving it, the CO2 is gaining (absorbing) energy from the solvent which breaks CO2’s bonds so it can form new ones with the solvent.
