When you really think about it, it makes perfect sense to get Dog Health Insurance to protect our dogs. We will not hesitate to purchase insurance for our own lives, our health, our cars, boats, homes or apartments. With all of the money that we have invested in our pets well being, it makes perfect sense to get dog health insurance too. Over 25% of all dog owners in Europe hold a dog health insurance policy for their pets. And in Sweden, over 50% of all dog owners carry pet insurance. In the United States only 5% percent of dog owners own a health insurancce plan for their dogs. One of the reasons so many Europeans purchase dog health insurance is because of a law that states “if a dog is at fault for an accident, the owner of the dog is held liable.
