use something acrylic or silicone...do not use Elmer's because Elmer's is latex, and latex is water soluable ....depending on what you are "gluing", yes? will prove what type of bond is needed ...silicone caulk will secure rocks and wood together nicely for aquarium use (silicone for bathroom showers and tubs) comes in "clear, or white"...i prefer to use "clear" (this is also very cheap) ...rocks formations and caves are easily secured together using silicone dabs between each piece (they should be free from most dirt) ...acrylic glues are used for models, crafts, and many react differntly with various types of plastics, so some experimentation is required...  more
