If one has to pay VAT or not depends upon his residence. Clients living within the European market pay for all products which have no margin tax a VAT. For gold and silver coins and medals the VAT is 10 % (for clients in Germany 7 %) for coins in other metals, for stamps and decorations the VAT is 20 %. Excluded are legal tender, for which you have not to pay VAT. Clients who are not members of the EU pay no VAT but they have to watch the customs regulations of their country.
