For some, character posting in the newsgroup is roleplay, for others it is not. Character posting in the newsgroup is not typical roleplay. Many people in the newsgroup strongly feel that they are gryphons (or dragons or mushrooms or other species) in heart, spirit, mind or body. Keep this in mind when posting, as there is potential for strife and hurt feelings. Respect the feelings of others. There are roleplay stories in which everyone is posting in character. These are marked with an [RP] tag in the subject.
