All furniture is shipped unstained and will weather outdoors to a fine gray patina within a couple of years. You can enjoy the natural graying or protect them with a quality stain/sealer from your local hardware store when it reaches the stage of weathering you prefer. If you choose to seal your purchase, we strongly recommend using an immediate application of stain/sealer for maximum protection from the elements. We do not recommend a clear sealer, as it easily wears off when exposed to the sun, but rather a Cedar Tone Stain Sealer for a slight color change.
