One way to do it is GL splits the money between itself and you. Company pays GL 1 buck for every consumer that buys something from the company. You buy something, GL gets a buck. GL then splits a little bit of that money with you by giving you free stuff. Remember when you were a little kid, and school would have a fund raiser where you can earn a cool prize by selling the most chocolate? There’s the chocolate maker, school, and you. The chocolate maker (Company that’s giving money) tells the school that it will give 10 cents to the school for every chocolate bar sold.
