Is genetic testing covered by insurance?

Insurance coverage varies with the insurance provider. However, Correlagen offers a Capped Patient Payment Plan (CPPP) to patients with commercial insurance. Regardless of insurance reimbursement, the CPPP limits the patient’s financial responsibility to just 15% (a higher CPPP rate applies for family testing) of the test cost plus any portion of the test cost that is applied by the insurance company to the patient’s annual deductible. Correlagen assumes the burden of negotiating with the insurance carrier for reimbursement and carries the risk of non-reimbursement for the remainder of the test cost. At the same time, Correlagen will refund to the patient any portion of his or her payment that is reimbursed by the insurer.
