Is harping on about Lettermans joke just beating a dead horse?
Letterman’s “joke” reminds me of all the “jokes” told about Jews prior to and during Hitler’s regime. It’s a classic tactic used by repressive governments when dealing with the opposition. If you can’t get rid of them by any other means, make them look ridiculous so that people don’t notice your visciousness. It doesn’t matter which Palin daughter he was talking about, he’s still a viscious, nasty-minded person using a bully pulpit to make lewd jokes at the expense of a non-politician whose only crime is being the daughter of someone he’s afraid of. Until he actually apologizes, that horse will never be dead.
