Is harvey dent supposed to be anything to do with the harvey dent in Batman Forever?
Batman Begins and The Dark Knight are supposed to be as though Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, and Batman and Robin never happened. They started the series over. If you compare Aaron Eckhart to Tommy Lee Jones, you’ll find they don’t even come about the same way. Tommy had acid thrown in his face, while Eckhart’s was literally burned. The same is true of the Joker: Jack Nicholson fell into a vat of chemicals, while Heath Ledger somehow got scars on his face, though the story of how it happened changes every time he tells it.
