Heberprot-P, a drug originally called CITOPROT-P, was developed several years ago by the Havana Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology. Reports suggest that patent approval has been granted in Australia, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Ukraine, the USA and Europe. The drug has also been presented for patent approval in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, and Thailand, if it has not been already approved in these countries.
