Is ice cream good for sore throat?

Ice cream is not good for you at this time. The cold of the ice cream may help soothe the pain but the sugar content of the icecream may give more damage. When we take in these sugars, our blood sugar increases and our body resistance (immune system) weakens, making it more prone to other infections or even prolonging your sore throat. A good saline gargle at least twice a day. Plenty of fluids and rest would help you build up your system and fight off that sore throat fast. You can also double your dose of ascorbic acid while your system’s down. It props up your defense.

I think that a good salt gargle is the best thing really. Ice cream may sooth the area because it is cold, but it isn’t “healing” anything.
