Is in-store TV for retailers a trend or tactic?
This was selected as Best Answer It is without a doubt a tactic and an increasing trend. Placing TV inside a retail location allows you to leverage a captive audience. They can’t change the channel and as hard as they try they can’t completely ignore the advertising/messaging you are displaying. By utilizing the fact that the customer has already taken the first step (literally) into your establishment you can now focus on more specific messaging. Shoes in the shoe section, clothing in the clothing section, electronics in the electronics section etc. Not only are you focusing on a captive audience you now have the ability to do targeted advertising without investing the time/research into developing a segmented media approach.
