Is indirect suicide still a sin for christians or catholics?

The reason that suicide is a sin is because it is a result of the very grave sin of Despair. Despair is the sin that we no longer believe that God loves us, he cannot forgive us our sins, and the life he has given has no meaning. The sin of despair is a complete rejection of the hope and love we should have in God and thus by it we completely reject his goodness. So in so far as the indirect suicide is a result of this sin then yes it is a very grave sin. Please spend some time in front of the blessed sacrament think of the fact that God made you from nothing, he did not have to. He made you out of love, even to point where he sent his only son to die for you. He established his church to help you, He is in the blessed sacrament for you. Also if your depression continues it would seem that seeing a therapist would be a good idea.
