Is interrupted sleep the same as uninterrupted sleep?

No it is not the same. You are better off with out beinf interrupted because there are certain sleep stages that are important. I cant think of them right now but there is a couple and if you dont sleep for about 2 hours or so, then you dont get into the R.e.m rapid eyemovement stage and this is where you start to fall deeply into sleep and dream. Put it this way the deep sleep is the most important part.
