Is IQ a good form of testing intelligence?
Online tests tend to be flattering and give higher IQ’s (usually in order to encourage you to take a paid “formal” test. IQ is controversial as it tests things like reasoning, logic and spatial awareness but does depend on ones ability to understand the question – i.e. it requires a certain level of knowledge of the language in which you are being tested. it does not test knowledge, memory or emotional intelligence (so called EQ) I have taken the supervised MENSA test and have come out very high but I now I have poor levels of common sense and concentration (just ask my wife). IQ is pretty much useless for anything except bragging rights.
