Is is true that Ave Maria is an evacuation center for those who must evacuate during hurricanes? If so, how will an emergency situation affect the campus?
– Ave Maria will soon house a “Community Center” which will be a Collier County hurricane evacuation shelter. AMU will be put in charge of this community center and will manage it during non-evacuation times. AMU will host distance learning programs which will be available to the Immokalee and Golden Gate estates community.
