Is Islam unnatural and out-of-date nowadays?

This is a complex question. As a religious person who is not a Muslim; I am more bffled by the political fanaticism of some of the adherents of Islam than my the tenets of their Faith. The establishment and maintenance of a fixed pattern of praying (contact with God) has the good purpose of getting one’s mind away from mundane concerns and allowing one to focus on matters concerning Spirit. Arranged marriage is as much a cultural concern as a religious one and was, I believe, practiced by Christian sects until the practice was rendered illegal by Constitutional Law. As regards the benefits accruing to any Country following any Religion, I cannot think of any State that has benefited from such a practice. I would support a secular State that nods its head towards religion (examples are the UK and Morocco). Persons who have been brought up under a different system of socialization may feel diffferently, and this is the reason why this question is complex, and cannot be answered empirical
