Is it a good idea to hire a bar or club DJ for my wedding reception or company party?
Our Answer: It depends on the atmosphere you want to create at your event. Most DJs have worked club gigs in the past. But just like at a high school party, a bar or club DJ usually plays only current Top 40 hits night after night. We’ve never seen a club that sounds or looks like a wedding reception or company party: with lots of classic hits, slow songs every so often, playing to a wide range of ages and musical tastes. Most clubs usually cater to a crowd of 20-30yr olds who would rather not slow it down until the end of the night anyway. A good analogy: If you own a Lexus, the guy on the corner who does all makes and models of car repair might have your part in stock, or may have come across your car before and know what to do. But the Lexus dealer guarantees to know your car inside and out and have everything your car would ever need.
