Is it a sign of frugality to send free online greeting cards?”

No, it’s not a sign of frugality to send an online greeting card. In fact, it is smart to send online cards because they don’t waste paper, which is good for the environment; the recipient gets the card immediately instead of waiting for snail mail; and it’s free, so you save money. Unless you have a very sentimental mom like I do, you don’t have to spend money on paper cards anymore since the majority of recipients won’t keep them anyway. Sources: It is my opinion.

Well technology has given us the ability to send free online greeting cards and I for one have embraced this. I hated shelling out $4-5 each time for an anniversary, birthday or one of the other numerous cash grabbing activities we partake in during our lives. Yes-I send them because I am frugal. But at the same time, they do help the environment, it is quick and easy for those people who live great distances away or for the last second rememberings. I think free online greeting cards exist to serve a multitude of purposes-for me, yes it is because I am frugal.
